Linda Lane Lewis, 72, of Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

Linda, a native of Halifax County, was the daughter of the late Godwin Thomas and Elma Smith Lane. Linda was a hairdresser for forty years.

She is survived by her husband, George; two stepsons, William Lewis of Montgomery, Ricky Lewis and his wife, Pat, of Wales, Maine; her brother, Al Lane and his wife, Gail, of Roanoke Rapids; two nephews, Robbie Lane and his wife, Tammy, of Raleigh, and Ryan Lane and his wife, Jane, of Monterey, CA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a great- niece and nephew.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.
